Neglected Tropical Diseases affect more than one billion people worldwide, in some of the poorest areas. According to the World Health Organisation, schistosomiasis is a disease of poverty that leads to chronic ill health and affects nearly 240m people. Moreover, an estimated 700m people live in endemic areas. Mologic has partnered with FINDdx to develop a rapid test for schistosomiasis.
Since 2018, Mologic has increased its focus on epidemics and neglected diseases now addressing 14 Targets, supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Wellcome Trust, the UK government, and the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND).
